Don’t Box Me In

In response to d’verse poets Quadrille #62 – BOX

Don’t think outside
the box
or even when you’re in it
Throw the box away

Containing nonsense
you never look at
Hoarding is a disease
You don’t need it anyway

Don’t get boxed in
like Jack did
He had to jump
Remember Boxing Day?

Good alternative: simply throw the box away or use it for packing stuff.

Thanks Frank! I always appreciate your feedback. Quadrilles are new to me as you know. There are a great challenge! 😊

I liked the Jack in the box reference. I always hated them as a kid!

I used it because I think they’re scary – a bit like clowns to some people 😊

That is it exactly. Clowns scare the bejabbers out of me.
