Balancing Act

Balancing Act

Walking a tightrope

Above the minefields

of your existence

I throw caution to the wind

Up here I may fall

A path of least resistance

Melancholy thoughts

And depressing actions

Separate us by degrees

Refusing to let go

Clinging to air

I’m an artist of trapeze

Remaining in limbo

With no safety net

Patiently waiting

Self-indulgent proclivities

Keep us apart but

My danger liberating

We all seem to be balancing precariously these days. (K)

So much in life is walking on a tightrope… but many times we don’t realize that the fall won’t hurt us… but there are other times when falling is lethal.

i walked this tightrope before, that minefield of emotion was something that maybe kept me steady and walking – like the metaphors, rich and meaningful Chrisitne

Thoughts and actions can separate people. I can see how it could be as precarious as a trapeze artist in the air.

I love the precariousness of ‘Walking a tightrope / Above the minefields /
of your existence – double trouble – and the lines:
    ‘Refusing to let go
    Clinging to air
    I’m an artist of trapeze’.
It’s strange how danger can be liberating and we can do the most amazing things without thinking about them and then the smallest things throw us out of kilter.

A difficult place and situation to be. Hope the libration will come soon from that minefield of an existence.

I can feel the precariousness of this…and yet, the will to continue.

It felt safer to be up there, albeit precarious, than down below 😑. Thanks for reading

hard it is to let go, it does often feel as if clinging to air when there is nothing left…Love “Refusing to let go Clinging to air I’m an artist of trapeze”
