Confirmation

Today your behavior is decided

The nation watching is divided

You’ve described your actions as silly

Boyhood pranks leaving us chilly

Your true colors shined brightly through

The thin veneer that is you

We saw you for what you are

A privileged bully hiding behind the bar

We’ve met many like you over the years

Arrogance worn as a right, bringing tears

We do not see you as enigmatic

To us you appear more manic

A privileged man full of anger

So quick to unleash his langor

The available position you will not be denied

You shouted, screamed and even cried

We watched your accuser so strong and credible

Your reaction contrived and unbelievable

The country today pays attention

Your position is in undeniable contention

A decision to come not just for you

But fifty years more of this preview

Women of this country should be scared

A judge deplete of empathy might just be declared

privileged bully says it so well – I am not well versed with the politics but some stories have similar characters in every government

Yes, Gina. The US has taken a huge step backwards with regard to women. It’s quite disconcerting.

I keep praying for a blindside from those swing Republicans.
    Pollyanna I know 😒

One would hope this would inspire the zillions of nonvoters to get off their lazy butts and vote against these entitled jerks, not that the Dems are perfect, but at least they try to stand against racism, misogyny, etc., yet we will not see that. People will not vote as usual and bitch anyway.

It’s a sad day for this country, as it seems that his confirmation is all but secure. What a shame; what a sham.

Collins, Murkowski et al are maybe going to give us an October surprise? I have to believe these women are not going to sell us out 😒

      • October 5, 2018 at 3:52 pm

I think Collins will support Kavanaugh, unfortunately.
