Foul Frog – Quadrille
A frog in my mailbox
Every day I looked
Funny I thought
But never spooked
Once picking up mail
He was still in residence
Something wet on my hand
My negligence
Brown and slimy
Smelling as I walked away
Oh yuckety yuck
Disgusting bouquet!

I laughed really hard when I read and tried to imagine it 😅😅
Lol ! Yes, I don’t want to go there again 😳🤣
Yup! That is a total yuk moment!
I wonder how he got in that mailbox.
They squeee in no problem! 🙂🐸
Hope it was just bills and not loveletters that got stinked.
I don’t remember … I just know I had to scrub my hand 😟
What an experience! The only word for it is YUCK!
Yes really! Thanks for reading Beverly 🙂
Cute and whimsical! Well done.
Thank you! 🙂
😉
Your frog in the mailbox made me laugh, Christine! We used to get frogs and newts in our utility room. They sneaked in the back door and we’d find them in corners, hiding from the cats. My husband couldn’t bear them but I quite like them – not smelly ones, though. 😉
Yes I like them too! I have a few other frog stories 🤣
He might look cute but I have to say that I would be better off without a frog in my mailbox!
🙂
Yuck imdeed, Christine! 😂😂
Funny…I just realized the climbing capabilities of frogs when I saw one at work las week sticking to our brick building. Strange! I had no idea they could do that. I liked your stinky frog quadrille!
Lol! They are amazing aren’t they? 🙂
Ha! I LOVE this mailbox frog – stinky yuck and all! 😉
He was kinda cute. Couldn t be mad at him. Lol.
This is charming!
Thanks for reading. It really is true!
And are you a Doolittle? You talk to the creatures and they talk back to you? (I am – shh! Don’t tell!)
Snow White! Tra la la la la! LOL!
This made me laugh out loud
It really is true. What an idiot I was smelling my hand! I should have known better seeing as he was living in there 🤣
How did he get there?
They have ways of crawling in anyhwhere. Living in Florida we have quite a few. I have another middle of the night horror story with a frog. I’ll save it for another poety challenge! LOL!
Oh, yikes!
