Personality
She is freewheeling and fearless
Forever the smile of happiness
Brightness wherever she goes
Life is good, life is kind
The girl has peace of mind
and the beauty of a damask rose
Her sunshine brightening the day
Brushing our tears away
She jumps into the deep
With never a care
Adventure is there
When we can hardly sleep
The door is revolving
Life is ever evolving
What goes up must come down
Her identical twin
Would sometimes win
And the smile becomes a frown
Opponents they are not
Good friends is how they fought
Each escapade a memory to share
One dips only their toes
The other wins by a nose
Tempering each otherβs dare
The twins are one and the same
They share the same name
It is two personalities of one
Being joyful is the preferred state
and life can trip you, but wait
The cycle has again begun

Very nice use of words. As an individual person, we have our strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes we stand-out with our strengths and sometimes we hide away with our weaknesses. All-in-all were human beings! π
Yes, so true! Thanks for reading π
Wow! Indeed we all have two sides. Great poem.
Thank you! π
My pleasure.
There are many sides of us and appreciating that side of being positive and joyful, can be a lifelong pursuit in the face of life’s challenges.
Yes Grace. That is so true π
I love the way you expressed the dual characteristics of personality as a twin…nicely done.
Thank you! I appreciate that very much π
Beautiful hit a few powerful chords πΊ
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, sometimes we donβt always know which βoneβ is acceptable ππ
Christine, this is so beautiful and profound, two sides of the same coin.
Thank you Punam π It’s all of us really. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, up or down, brave or scared etc. π
Yes, of course. π You are so welcome. β€οΈ
wow! deep ….
Oh I’m so happy you felt it. We are all a combination of good or bad, happy or sad and so on. We learn how to filter I guess ππ
yes, give energy to the bits you prefer and abandon the unhealthy things π
Agreed! Sometimes they have become bad habits and then itβs more difficult but not impossible ππ
yes once we give them energy and make them a habit it takes far more effort …
