This week’s prompt is “Listen” for Song Lyric Sunday from Helen Vahdati
The song I chose jumped into my head immediately because the word ‘Listen’ runs all the way through it. It is a Beatles song, by Lennon & McCartney, from the Please, Please Me album in 1963 but it was best known in England as performed by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas. I’m not sure he came to the USA with the British Invasion but he was a very handsome guy with a sweet style and had all the girls screaming hysterically.
I hope you enjoy it.

I love that song, it has a sweet melody and the words are so romantic. Never knew a group in UK besides The Beatles had a hit with it. Perfect choice for Listen
