One

One

We are one and the same

My half matches yours

When you fall, I pick you up

Or we crawl on all fours

Get up my love

This is not the end

Together we can make it

On me you can depend

You are my precious jewel

A valued prize

I breathe your breath

Without you I’m paralyzed

You need me right now

and I will carry you to safety

Come now my dearest

It will always be you and me

Our haphazard limps in life

Are what balance us out

We lean on each other

That’s what we are about

Stabilizing and steadying

Each other we complement

Always there for each other

We seamlessly supplement
