The Fire Within
An electric shock
Caused my body to quiver
His touch had made me shiver
An Involuntary reaction
To this unplanned meeting
A coincidence worth repeating
The fire began to burn within me
Hoping it was in him too
I was feeling quite the shrew
Igniting each other’s flame
Was it the start of something special
Or could he turn out to be the devil
We won’t know unless we perform
The traditional mating dance
Oh please just let me have a chance

I’m glad that these days you can at least try it out a before you tie the knots… imagine being stuck with a devil.
Sometimes they are in disguise until way after the tying of knot! 😑
Yes, looking for the reward!
I like the last line showing willingness to take the risk.
Thanks Rob 🙂
Christine, this had passion and the and of fate…
very intrigued by your last line, the shrew resorted to pleading, i felt a little lack of confidence when it came to the final moments. good play of words Christine
Yes you are correct Gina She felt like the shrew but perhaps never was. She was insecure and longing 💕
Thank you my friend 🙂💕
been there done that. sometimes the chemistry is very combustible. “a coincidence worth repeating” indeed 🙂
Ahh yes, it is!🙂
perhaps a “chance” is something that should be re-examined if she can’t figure out if he’s the devil…
Ah, she doesn’t know until she tries 🙂 Unfortunateky that’s the way it is
Hot!
😅
Was it the start of something special
Or could he turn out to be the devil
I suppose each of us may encounter both along the way. What counts is the ability to see the difference and not get burnt. Thanks for joining in.
Yes Victoria! We never know until we try 😏
Nice
Thanks Kindness! 🙂
