Waiting For You
Where feathers flutter to the earth and the bamboo reaches the sky On the morning grass covered in dew Where the hedgerows are lined with wild flowers intense with color That’s where I will wait for you Where the sun sets on the horizon and the rain falls into the stream In the forest where moonlight peeks through Where the sunlight falls on a grassy meadow Or glints in-between the trees That’s where I will wait for you When the oceans eventually run dry And the sun falls from the sky When the mountains crumble from view When the earth finally comes to an end And there is nothing left to see That’s where I will wait for you Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing © Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash

Thank you Kayla Ann 🙂
Outstanding imagery Christine, and I adore your opening stanza
“Where feathers flutter to the earth
and the bamboo reaches the sky
On the morning grass covered in dew”
