Head Over Heels

Head Over Heels

Standing on my head
wondering why my feet ache
What is going on?
This is more than I can take

What’s up is down
and what’s out is in
Hanging and unbalanced
My head is in a spin

Thoughts are confusing
Cannot get oxygen to my brain
Deep breathing impossible
I might be popping a vein

I’m a fish out of water
Gasping for air
Learning to adapt
always saying a prayer

Since we met
I can’t get you out of my head
A delightful feeling sometimes
but mostly I’m full of dread

I’m behaving irrationally
I might be a little mad
Am I lovesick?
Is that really so bad?

It’s hard to know which end is up sometimes, no matter the cause! 🙂
