Release

Release

Finally, I find the strength
To pick up the baggage
I have kept for so long
It is now tied up
neatly in a bundle
Hanging on to it was wrong

Purging myself of your memory
Into the garbage it goes
without another thought
Cleansing to my soul
and brushing away cobwebs
What we had came to naught

In this final release
I forgive you
for all the pain you inflicted
I move on to my future
wishing you well
I know now I was addicted

Thank you Gina. I think many of us can relate to this situation. You just have to let go sometimes in order to move on. 💕

love the last stanza, forgiveness, letting go, your soul is so much lighter when your mind let’s in all go – a poem i want to read again Christine, it is so deeply moving

I LOVE this! I particularly enjoy the relation between forgiveness and the ability to fully let go and find that release.
