Darkness and Light

Darkness and Light

It was the destiny
of the dark souls
to be exiled
forever in
the murky
land of doom

Those blessed
with sunshine
traveled to
the honey mine
on the other side
of the moon

Sarah is hosting the bar at dVerse Poets Pub tonight
and has declared it Games Night.  We are to use at least
three video games to work into our poetry.

I chose four games:

Honey Mine
Doom
Destiny
Dark Souls

There are always those who can get to the milk and honey and those who are doomed to the darkness

Love the contrasting stanzas – dark and light. The names slip in so smoothly. Great structure, too. Thank you for this lovely response.

Thank you so much Sarah. I don’t know anything about computer games. They never hooked me! I just chose the words that I liked and went from there 🙂💕

      • February 13, 2019 at 9:34 am

That was exactly what I was hoping for! It was just a fun way to generate a word list, really. I was also amused by the way they take themselves so seriously. “God of War” indeed. harumph!

Yes, I know! So funny. I guess they help people escape down the Path of Exile or wherever LOL 🤣
