Time To Get Up
A plangent chorus
of early birds
My wake up call this day
Busy at work
singing and feeding
without hesitation or delay
Sandhill cranes
moving slowly
along the river bed
Their rattling bugle call
can be heard for miles
enough to wake the dead

You’re kindly welcome, my friend 🙂

Thank you so much Lisa!
You are welcome.
Beautiful waking up Christine
Thank you so much! 🙂
A beautiful image you have created by your words
Thanks dear Sadje 🙂💕
My pleasure 😇
I’ve only seen solitary cranes. It must be nice to see or hear so many.
I never see that many at once. Usually they are in their family units. 2 -4 Mom, Dad and babies 🙂💕
LOVE your early birds’ wake-up revelry!
Thanks Lyn! 🙂💕
I love the sounds of birds calling in the morning – just not too loud, smiles.
🙂 Me too Grace
I love to be woken by birds, as long as it’s not too early 🙂
Yes, it is such a lovely sound 🙂
Jealous of this beautiful wakeup call.
The good thing is, it’s never as many as in the photo. Thank goodness! 🙂
Sandhill cranes have such an interesting call – great subject for a wake up call.
Thank you! I call birds Nature’s Orchestra 🙂
