Morning Light

Morning Light

A shard of sunlight
pierced the grey sky
Soon silver light in the east
was threaded with gold
Drawing a sigh

That delicious moment
of nature’s morning light
passed quickly
as the day began
and stole the night

An island of reflection
seeing the rise and fall
of both sun and moon
A war for supremacy
behind the rainfall

Beautiful, I’m glad I waited to read this until the morning, it made the morning sun shining through the window seem even more lovely. 🙂
