Sunbeam

Sunbeam

Like dust in a sunbeam
Your closeness is ubiquitous
Unseen, but in every particle
Only visible in light
Your essence omnipresent

You nest in my mind
Wishful thoughts conjured
on my darkest days
When wild horses cannot
drag me from sadness

I lose myself in you
and our memories
of special moments shared
Significant to only us
Cherished forever

Even though you are gone
You remain here with me
Your strength hiding
in my dark shadows
Your presence healing

You capture these emotions perfectly Christine, and you tugged my heartstrings with your finale stanza…..
    “Even though you are gone
    You remain here with me
    Your strength hiding
    in my dark shadows
    Your presence healing”
