Changing
Summer fades into history
yet one more time
as leaves desiccate
and fall to the ground
Carpeting the earth
with resplendent remains
while heralding in a new
season to be crowned
A changing kaleidoscope
Delighting our senses
with colors rich and golden
Dead, but alive, in all its splendor
The fragrance of pines
and wood smoke in the air
Give thanks for the season
and for all it does render
