Blank Sky – A Diatelle

Blank Sky

Sky
Above
Ivory
Absent of sun
A thin cover of clouds
Covering the expanse of space
A pristine and stark appearance looms long
No cushy formation of cumulus to see
A bleak, pale canopy reminiscent
Of saintly alabaster shrouds
In a mausoleum
Depressingly
Saddening
Yearning
Sun

WOW, I cannot even do my usual “fave pick”, as every line glows despite the cloud cover. That form is very interesting, so thanks for sharing…when I have a spare hour, I may try it! Blessings to you, dear girl (‘girl’ is meant affectionately, not dismissively, hope you know) <3

Well thank you sweet girl! That is an expression I use all the time 😊 so no offense taken here. The form was quite easy really, you might enjoy it. Have a great Sunday💕

Bless your heart!! You never know, these days–feminists can get prickly over the term “girl”, but if you’re from the South, or African American, it connotes “familiarity/friendship”. I’m ready for a Sunday…although I kind of think of my whole weekend as Sunday: I do online church Saturday afternoons because I like Gateway Church in TX (I’m in WA), and they have 5 optional services–such a luxury! 🙂 <3 Have a blessed week!

Wonderfully written, but now I feel like I need to wrap myself in a blanket.
