Armor
Sealed tight
like a drum
Nothing gets in
or out
It cannot be undone
That’s the way
it became
When deciding
to forsake our love
leaving me in shame
Coming upon me
a brazen charmer
Knowing now
there is no crack
in my armor

With an armor like that you’ll always be safe from (de)light
Yes that’s true! 🙂
armor can be necessary but we still need that gap to see through 🙂
… and breathe! 🙂💕
you got it 😉
Your strength and resolve shines as bright as your armor.
Ahh, such a sweet thing to say Linda 🥰
May the armor protect from harm, but open for the good things in life.
Yes Beverly! That’s the way it should be 🙂💕
You go, girlfriend! This was really good!
Heehee! Thanks Beckie 🤣
Tightly sealed away can mean safety, or lonely isolation Christine.
For some, yes Rob. For many the isolation and protection is necessary in order to heal. ❤️
Terrific! Hold on to that armor!
Yes Philip we all need it at times 🙂 Thanks so much
The lessons of life hard won, but not to be bitten twice, personal and powerful.
Thank you so much Paul 🙂 What you say is true, yet sometimes we are bitten more than twice!
Ah… The old armour chastity-belt still works….
Lol 🤣
Inner armor is as strong as the one made of metal.
Yes so true Sadje! 🥰❤️
👍🙏
Loving the subtle rhyme in your last stanza. And so glad you’re able to keep out those nasty charmers.
Thanks De Jackson! That was a fun prompt ☺️
That armor does look very tight without a crack.
That’s for sure! 🙂
