Resurgence
Emerging from
self-imposed imprisonment
A throne-less queen
walks naked and alone
vulnerable
remorseful
Eyes watching her
every movement
Her sparkle diminished
she wears the grey garb
of solitude and regret
Wishing now
for sunlight to
warm her coldness,
liven her spirit and
pump hope into her heart
