Happiness in Installments

Happiness in Installments

Impossible
to survive one week
without shedding tears
Togetherness for a day or two
but never seven,
The sum of all fears

Happiness serialized
in installments
Each one intense
Gasping for breath
Wishing for the next
to ease the suspense

Carried along
with romance but
dashed by the dramatic
Each episode
a mystery
Endings climactic

Hope
a distant dream
in a future series
Featuring a new cast
of characters and
conspiracy theories

Thanks Punam. I was hoping to convey that sometimes it feesl like love in a marriage/partnership is never constant. It can feel like it is fed to us in pieces because there are so many ups and downs in life. I always feel that love should buoy us constantly but it doesn’t. Wishful thinking I guess 😑❤️

Happiness and love are never constant. I too wish love were a constant but it continues to wax and wane. That’s life, I guess! You are welcome, dear. 🙂💞
