Song Lyric Sunday – Happy Together

This week’s prompts for Song Lyric Sunday, hosted by Jim Adams, are “Couple, Together and Us”. The first song I could think of was “Happy Together” by the Turtles from the sixties. I know this is going to be picked many times today so I’m just going to do the same and wish everybody a Happy Mother’s Day! It’s a fun, happy song and I hope it makes you feel happy too.

Lyrics

Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it's only right
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight
So happy together
If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together
I can't see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together
I can't see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together
So happy together
How is the weather
So happy together
We're happy together
So happy together
Happy together
So happy together
So happy together (ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba)

Oh it did since he chose the song this week. 😝 I never ask him for an opinion for SLS but I posed the question this week and he automatically started singing “Happy Together”. Smiling, dancing and swooping in for a kiss. 🥰
