Irreparable – A Quadrille

Irreparable

Maintaining composure
You cannot see
what is really going on
inside of me

You see ambivalence
no care to give
I’m a broken vessel
from the life I live

The dark side called
Unable to fix
This soulless specimen
got lost in the mix

This is so cleverly composed, Christine! Not only have you kept to the rules, you’ve delivered a meaningful message which has such resonance with so many people 🙂

A difficult situation to be in. Hope the help and compassion are there to steer us back to healing.

What’s broken inside might not show…. but it’s very hard to fix.

      Some people never heal.

Yes, everybody’s got an invisible storm. Only kindness matters.

Beautiful. I am not really familiar with a quadrille but I’d say you did it well B-)

Thanks Jay. It’s all about keeping with the boundaries of 44 words total 🙂

Reminds me of something else I just learned, the “American Sentence.”

Ah yes, Allen Ginsburg and The American Sentence!
I really like the challenge of Haiku, to write something meaningful in a minimum amount of syllables. I enjoy the challenge of it. Other times I can ramble on and on! 🤣

Hahaha I noticed you like it 😉 I like your longer ones too, tho. Gives you a chance to really say more

Thank you! The Daily Haiku keeps me focused but I do enjoy longer poems 👍

Yes focus is important in the long run for blogging. . .
