Sanctuary
Tall grasses at water’s edge as green as limes Exotic blooms of lotus flowering abundantly time after time Protective trees shielding a sacred spot where serenity is found A place to regroup and clear the mind never hearing a sound Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing © In response to Sue Vincent's Weekly Write/Photo Word Prompt Bloom - RDP
I felt a bit more peaceful just reading that 🙂 Well done.
Thanks so much Lisa 🙂💕
Excellent poem Christine. I’m ready to go there. 🙂
This is beautiful Christine, I loved the subtle rhythm
Thanks Jude. It is the simple things that calm and heal us ☺️
A poetic masterpiece, loved the effortless manifestation of heart-warming emotions. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful post!
You are so kind ☺️ Thank you!
Your own little #SecretSpot B-) . When I was a kid, we’d have our own little spot out on the woods where we’d build big forts and then get mad when some other kids would come and trash it while we were gone. This reminded me of those good times.
Happy times from childhood Jay. Special ☺️
😎😎
Serene!
Thank you! 🙂
You’re welcome Christine
A beautiful poem, Christine…and this spot was a perfect sanctuary, where the only sound was birdsong and the whisper of a dragonfly’s wings.
Thank you Sue. I wanted to be there! 🙂💕
It was beautiful.
I’m sure ☺️
