Uneven Terrain

Uneven Terrain

The road is uneven
hindering progress
Slowing my stride
I tread carefully
not to slip
Concentrating
on each thought
and decisions made
What had brought
Me here?
Again
A lesson to be learned
What did I miss?
Always on this path
Going somewhere,
nowhere
Bent out of shape
from missteps
and life’s callous
punishments
I fear I will
always walk
with a limp

Callous - FOWC

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Thanks Regina. I’m not sure as the host of the challenge usually provides the photos. Probably somewhere in the UK
