Beaded sweat gathers in pools of salty droplets on smoldering earth Here in the valley of death where known life evaporates Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing © In response to Frank Tassone's Weekly Haiki #147 - Smoldering Image by esudroff from Pixabay
I can’t even begin to imagine the feel of that kinda heat. A good poem.
Thanks Pat. Years ago I lived in Texas and in August when the temps were in triple digits you would have to run from your car into a store because your skin would burn on that short walk 😳😅
Wow! I spent a year in Miami. The heat got to me. I spent half the time dreaming about the changes in seasons in New York. Couldn’t wait to get outta there 😊
Yes it’s a toss up between hot and cold. I settled in Florida where I always refused to live 🙄
It wasn’t only the heat… But alligators and lizards nah, that was too much, lol!
Uh oh! 🤣
It wouldn’t take long to become a human raisin out there I bet. Great atmospheric piece, Christine!
Thanks my friend 🥰
You’re welcome 🙂
