Telling Lies – A Quadrille

Telling Lies

What lies she tells
that narcissistic witch
Stories too tall
for truth
Inflating her ego
Grabbing
needed attention
without which
she is nothing
My eavesdropping
confirms what
I already know
But the listeners
are too gullible
to understand
there is nothing there
to believe

excluding the title.

It was a while ago now and she finally burnt all her bridges and left under a cloud 😕

So well described, Christine, I wanted to give her a piece of my mind! I’ve come across this kind of attention-grabber several times in my life. You can’t say anything to anyone, though, as they never believe you.

Yes Kim, the gullible minority 😕 Thank you 😊

Unfortunately I have worked with someone like this as well – your words immediately brought her to mind. I think the polite term for such a person is a ‘shit-stirrer!’

Exactly Ingrid! Then they turn around and say “It wasn’t me”. 😕

      • September 8, 2020 at 10:03 am

        That’s the one!

  8. September 7, 2020 at 9:26 pm

Do I know her? Very good poem.

There is always that one person isn’t there? You paint a vivid image, Christine 🙂

This was definitely not a description of Nancy Pelosi Lynn!! You are entitled to your opinion of course ☺️💕 Thanks for reading.

Beware of liars! I always take things on the internet with a grain of salt (or disbelief).

As it should be Grace ☺️ I think most of us can tell when a person is lying which made my story so farcical.

Oh yes Ron. It was pretty pathetic.

Sounds like my old boss, but it was a “he.” You socked it to her in this, Christine!

Thanks Lisa. This was based on a gal I used to work with. It was pretty bad for many there.
