Color Me Hot
Erotic blue lust sparks white-hot volts of tingling silver thoughts into the mind of sexual fantasy Climbing fiery red heights of painted passion Exploding mosaics coloring me in a thousand different pieces of rainbow sensations Falling aimlessly into aquamarine pools of tranquility Cooling jets Until mellow-yellow my mood Copyright © 2020 Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing All Rights Reserved Grace is hosting D'Verse poets tonight and has prompted us as follows:
The writing challenge: Today we will write about color from the perspective of a synesthete. Pick one color or several colors. Create your own Dictionary of Color. All sounds have color. The alphabet has color. Days of the week have color. Each day has a color and a certain shape.
Word Prompt

Wonderful verbal images, Christine. The challenge sounds like a great way to improve writing. Is this a challenge you host? I found your post from a post Frank wrote about colors. Have a great weekend. 🙂
Thank you so much Marsha ☺️ No, I do not host it but they have three weekly prompts if you would like to participate. Here’s the link – https://dversepoets.com
Come and join us!
Thank you Christine. I will check it out.
I checked out the blog. The writer is very thorough in his or her explanation. I was impressed. I will have to try my hand at it. 🙂 Thanks for sharing, Christine. 🙂
Yes Marsha. There are several “Bartenders” (Poets) who host on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, offering different prompts. If you “follow” the site you’ll get a notification in the afternoon (USA time zones) describing the prompt. Great exercises for all poets! I hope you join us regularly ☺️
I will try. I’m following quite a few, but this one sounds well worth the time. 🙂
Good. I’ll look forward to reading your work Marsha. I have really grown since participating at D’Verse Poets ☺️
Thank you Christine. I’ll look forward to experimenting with it. 🙂
Sorry I meant to say Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. My mistake 😕

Yes! Beautiful colors. Thank you so much ☺️
‘coloring me in
a thousand different
pieces of rainbow
sensations” now that says synesthesia to me.
Thanks Debi! 🙂
Electricity in technicolor is such a great way to describe passion, then the after of the aquamarine tranquility.
Thanks Lisa 🙂💕

This is so sensual, extremely intimate with blue caress. I think of lust in this way too:
