Color Me Hot

Color Me Hot

Erotic blue lust
sparks white-hot
volts of tingling
silver thoughts
into the mind
of sexual fantasy
Climbing fiery
red heights
of painted passion
Exploding mosaics
coloring me in
a thousand different
pieces of rainbow
sensations
Falling aimlessly
into aquamarine
pools of tranquility
Cooling jets
Until
mellow-yellow
my mood

Grace is hosting D'Verse poets tonight and has
prompted us as follows:

The writing challenge: Today we will write about color from the perspective of a synesthete. Pick one color or several colors. Create your own Dictionary of Color. All sounds have color. The alphabet has color. Days of the week have color. Each day has a color and a certain shape.

Wonderful verbal images, Christine. The challenge sounds like a great way to improve writing. Is this a challenge you host? I found your post from a post Frank wrote about colors. Have a great weekend. 🙂

Yes Marsha. There are several “Bartenders” (Poets) who host on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, offering different prompts. If you “follow” the site you’ll get a notification in the afternoon (USA time zones) describing the prompt. Great exercises for all poets! I hope you join us regularly ☺️

Electricity in technicolor is such a great way to describe passion, then the after of the aquamarine tranquility.

This is so sensual, extremely intimate with blue caress. I think of lust in this way too:

    “blue lust
    sparks white-hot
    volts”

Sounds like lightning! Amazing piece, Christine. You write beautifully, passionately, and honestly. I always enjoy reading your work. ❤️❤️
