I am reflecting on how we are fooled, is that Autumn is so wonderful that we can’t quite bring ourselves to feel the harshness and void of a coming winter? (That reflects how I feel about winter, brrr). Are we fooled, or enveloped? Your poem envelopes us like the seasons, the changes happening all times, the earth beckoning. we are aware, but want to keep living, tasting, smelling, touching. Live now, for entropy beckons. 🙂 All of that is here in your poem of seasons.

Hi Lona, nice to hear from you! Yes, I think we are all just insignificant specks of something in this amazing Universe. It is bigger and more powerful than us and we are just along for the ride ☺️. I am thankful for being able to experience Nature’s gifts of change and renewal. Wishing you well and Happy Holidays ☺️🥰💕
well, I would not say insignificant. we may be smaller in size and gravity, but One Christine Bolton has more consciousness and awareness than entire clusters of stars. So we are along for the ride, and even if we stay buckled and keep our hands inside the carriage at all times, it will still be over sooner than we want, but what a ride! Each of us is a miracle, even if impermanent. I also hope you are well and all the Holiday fun and joys!
For us here that whipping cold autumn is now winter season…brrr…brr… The seasons are changing fast. I envy that you can watch all that from the lake. Awesome views.

Thank you Grace. Yes, you are up north and I’m sure it’s freezing 🥶 I’m grateful for my warmer weather here but I do miss the chill every now again ☺️
Doesn’t time move so fast when the seasons change before our eyes? I find it mesmerizing as well. You eloquently said it all, and this piece itself brought some serenity to me; a warmth of peace found from these lines:
“Peace found in
images and sounds
Summer’s kindness
stroking, comforting
Healing
the soul gently
before the colors
of fall are
dangled…”
You write beautifully and the imagery itself is as captivating as nature. Such fascinating work yet again. <3 <3

Thank you dear Lucy ☺️ I live on a lake and I sit and watch everything from the birds, to the way the light dances on the water’s surface and the sounds. I do find it so peaceful and the words come to me naturally 🥰

Seasons of the year change boldly, and without our consent — but to such beauty and wonder I acquiesce. Well written Christine… 🙂
