The Break of Day
Caught by the morning sun Spanish moss Is dipped in spun gold and hanging from ancient oaks The gentle flapping of duck wings shaking off water Fleeting shadows of leaves carried by the wind Whispering words echoing in your mind as the day begins Gently and sensuously with its sights and sounds Copyright © 2020 Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing All Rights Reserved Sanaa Rizvi from A Dash of Sunny is hosting Open Link Night at D'Verse Poets tonight. I really enjoyed that poem. It is soft. As you read there is a sense of contentment watching the world come to life. The hidden delights all around. Loved it. 🙂
Thanks Jay-lyn. Yes that is exactly how it is. Nature us so beautiful 🥰
Most welcome 😘🤓💜
This is absolutely breathtaking, Christine! 😀 I love; “Fleeting shadows of leaves

Oh thank you Sanaa. Just a simple poem of what we find in nature. Those special moments that make you stop and appreciate it. ☺️💕

You’re welcome!
This triggered Cat Stevens’ Morning Has Broken for me. Thanks!
Oh yes, I did! I didn’t even think of that Ron. Thanks my friend ☺️
Beautiful and indeed refreshing like a cold glass of water after a long day. 🙂
Thanks Lucy. I was driving down a road the other day, early in the morning and sun literally caught the hanging moss and it looked like it had been dipped in gold. It was beautiful. I have also been listening the the duck wings flapping as we have a flock of snowbird ducks on the lake. So many…must be hundreds ☺️💕
So refreshing!
Thanks Eugenia ☺️💕
Made me smile, have a great day!
