Into the Darkness
An ever-consuming sadness envelops your body in a diaphanous veil A storm brewing in your mind Words of reason hide in the penumbra Marinating in suppressed anger that dwells there Instinctively I know what is happening I recognize the warning signs triggering your frustrations What the eyes don’t see Intuition already knows Watching a rerun of the movie I have seen so many times I sense the imminent deterioration of what was once a beautiful mind The beginning of the end Copyright © 2021 Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing All Rights Reserved Prompts What the eyes don’t see - RDP Saturday Penumbra - RDP Thursday Deteriorate - FOWC The beginning, the end - Stream of Consciousness Image by Gordon Johnson from Pixabay

Wow Ivor. I have not seen that artist before (well actually I couldn’t see her anyway!) It was great! I loved the song. Thanks for the share. My poem was about dementia and how sad it is to watch someone living with it. 😢
They are very sad and traumatic situations to be involved in Christine.. 😐
Yes indeed they are Ivor ☺️
I’ve seen that movie too. Thanks for joining in Christine 🙂
ps it’s never too late
Thanks so much. I had started it on Thursday and didn’t get around to finishing it until today, with the help of Punam’s prompt too! ☺️
Christine, I love how you have woven so many prompts to craft your verse with sensitivity about something that most of us will face one day.
Thank you dear Punam. I do so hope it doesn’t happen to me. When you see it first hand it is so sad, heartbreaking. 😢
Keeping fingers crossed, dear.
My pleasure.
And same for you! 🥰
