Eagle’s Eye – A Seguidilla

Eagle’s Eye

So I might fly to great heights
I was born with wings
To soar high above the earth
Seeing many things
Hunting here and there
With keen eye sight sharp and clear
My prey unaware

The bird and the poetry form fly so well together. You should look at Earthweal this week and the Animal Gaze. Your poem would fit well there too as the bird looks down on us!

I love the perspective of the eagle, but I can also feel for the prey down below.

Yes, they are big enough to scare humans, let alone poor little rabbits 😳

What a joy it must be born with sings and to soar like an eagle. This was well done. Thanks for joining in! Hope you had fun with the new form.

Lady Eagle’s continued survival is proof that it is so. May her eaglets eat well 🙂
