Salt In The Wound – A Quadrille

Salt In The Wound

Fool me once
as the saying goes
shame on you
Fool me twice
then shame on me

What is this force
that pulls me to you
and I go willingly
without resistance
Defying sanity

When do I stop
Sprinkling salt
in my own wounds?

All good here in my part of the world Christine but we are really concerned about people caught up in the terrible floods in NSW and Queensland. Thankfully my family are all safe. Take care. Lynn.
