The Music Of Your Soul – A Quadrille
The Music Of Your Soul
As darkness came
the dulcet tones
of your voice filtered through
the still night air
I would hang on to every word
falling from your lips
Each syllable perfectly enunciated
creating the beautiful
Music of your soul
Smiling I danced to its sweet melody

I immediately thought of Eddie Vedder 🙂
Oops I missed this one Lisa. Sorry. Yes! Eddie Vedder, of course! ☺️
Maybe it has become even better as time has passed…
I think so ☺️
A lovely poem.
The use of past tense gives a tint of sadness. Something that was, but is no longer. Well done, Christine.
You are right Bill. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.☺️💕
Wonderful Christine this really reminded me of my daughter and I. I always enjoyed speaking crisply annunciated in a rich baritone voice, and she would giggle, sit on my lap and say dad I love you. This piece brought that all back to me, this warm memories — thank you! 👍🏼🙂✌🏼🕊
Oh I am so pleased it brought back such precious memories for you. Thank you, Ron. ☺️❤️
This is so sweet and tender.
Thanks Linda ❤️☺️. I appreciate it
This poem is so beautiful, Christine.
