Shift in the Status Quo – A Quadrille

Shift in the Status Quo

Sensing a shift in the status quo
Ever so slight but I read you well
Having been here before
At first it was devastating
The beginning of the end
Now after weathering the storms
that are named for you
I go with the flow

    The best route sometimes. (K)

I think we have to go with the flow sometimes, but also remember that only dead fish flows with the stream

Yes that is something to bear in mind. Thank you

Those shifts are advantages, the upper hand so to speak. I love where you took the challenge, Christine. Great quadrille.

Wow! I so loved this, Christine!! Funny how that “Shift In The Status Quo” usually comes and hits you in a subtle way and not always in such a big surprising way!! Some little thing exposes the truth.

Your first two lines paint it so well!! “Sensing a shift in the status quo
Ever so slight but I read you well” Kind of like seeing a painting on the wall just a little bit crooked. A tiny thing but something that is so obvious. Bellissimo, My Dear, Bellissimo!! 😊😁💖👍

When I read your deep and moving pieces I find myself hoping and wondering if this is all just fiction or not???? Even more amazing if fiction!! Wonderful photo!! Hypnotic! A post of great seeds of inspiration!!
    😊💖💕🌹

Thank you Chuck. Yes, those slight shifts are so subtle but you get to recognize them over time. I think looking way, way back I was slapped upside the head with change that I had not seen coming. I think you only need to experience that once and then you become more aware. ❤️☺️ Thanks as always for your lovely comments

Nice quadrille. Going with the flow works with some currents. (Moving to higher ground with others.)

Thank you! Yes I agree. You could end up in a whirlpool if you’re not careful. It doesn’t work every time. ☺️

A wise poem. Going with the flow can take you far.

Thank you. Yes! A little like swimming in a riptide. 🙃

Sometimes going with the flow is the best way–at least for a time.

Yes exactly Merril. It doesn’t always work out.

That’s a good philosophy, to be prepared for all eventualities.

Its sometimes a good decision at that time. Ot every time though 😕

Yes indeed. I agree with this

Going with the flow is one way to cope. Also may be a time for a change.
