Loved this!!! Wisdom is learning from the life, lessons and mistakes of others instead of having to learn from making them ourselves!! The warning signs and signals don’t always register with the young about the “consequences”! Makes me think of Frost’s “The Road Not Taken” and that maybe you wrote the narrative of what taking the other road might have been?? 😊💕🌹

Thanks Chuck. So kind ☺️❤️ . Don’t forget the famous Yogi Berra quote “when you come to a fork in the road … take it 🤣
Maybe it is better with the road less travelled… we are too often lured on the wrong way
Or else we are stuck at a crossroads 😧
I resonate so strongly with this one, Christine. Evocative write ❤️❤️
Thank you dear Sanaa. ❤️❤️
Powerful words. Wisdom often comes at a price.
Thank you and yes, it always does. ☺️💕

It’s good if we can learn from those wrong turns. A thought-provoking poem, Christine.
Thanks Merrill ☺️
Sadly we sometimes only see our mistakes in hindsight
You’re welcome. So true!
I like the change of perspective in the last few lines, a good ending. Great poem!
Thank you Jay ☺️❤️
Great poem! You never know what road you’d be on today if you never took that detour first.
Yes Jason. We are always navigating something aren’t we? ☺️
Our mistakes teach us the lessons we need. So well written Christine
Thank you dear Sadje. ☺️💕
You’re most welcome
Experience is a hard teacher. Hopefully we learn and don’t keep repeating it. Well done.
Thank you Dwight. It sometimes takes a lifetime to figure it out
