Bad Apple
My instincts
screamed at me
but I chose
not to listen
You,
opinionated
and arrogant
Rubbing me
the wrong way
but charming
and smooth
with an
engaging
charm
I turned a blind eye
Telling myself
the positives
outweighed
the negatives
But a bad apple
poisons the barrel
and we died
a slow and painful
death
