Wet Blanket

Wet Blanket

Grey, blanketed sky
mirroring the day’s mood
Dreary and dull
The sunshine of a smile
hidden by a depression
The inevitable rains come
Drowning sorrows
not before
the rays catch fire
Burning the clouds
and mixing a rainbow
Coloring a world
deprived of joy
