Summer’s Eve
As day sits on the cusp of dusk
a slight movement catches the eye
The silent, single silhouette
of a cottontail enthralls
Nibbling grass in the garden
Eyes of the hunted
moving restlessly while
appearing calm
A soothing sight
on a quiet summer’s eve
