These deep thoughts of you
Live inside my broken heart
Since you went away

What you see is what you get
The waters are not that deep
They are transparent and calm
And could lull you to sleep
What is visible on the surface
Is reflected directly below
Nothing is hidden from view
Nor veiled to deceive or shadow
Still waters and calm seas
So you may navigate easily
No blind spots to fool you
Or dangers lurking deceitfully
She has charted your course
You may set sail from the docks
Come to me, sings the siren
Guiding you to the rocks

In response to Sue Vincent's Thursday Photo Prompt - Beneath
Inhale a deep breath
A wise man has the power
Only fools rush in
Christine Bolton – Poetry for Healing
The earth hears your cry
Deep in its wondrous beauty
Reviving your heart
Christine Bolton – Poetry for Healing
Tiredness came swiftly
Smothering
Laying heavy on my eyes
and limbs
Suppressing efforts of revival
A deep state
Encompassing
Feeling grubby and unclean
Exhausting
Succumbing to sleep
Dramatic and deep
Eccentric Dreams
Teasing
Body failing to adjust
Confusing
Brightness of mind
Wins over darkness of night
Fully awake
Rejuvenating
Mind now alert
Conflicting
Energy is lowered
Limbs cannot move
Mind is willing but flesh is weak
Frustrating

Words Prompts:
Life in its balance
The sun meets the sky at night
Still waters run deep
Christine Bolton – Poetry for Healing
Alabaster skin
Eyes deep pools of clear blue sea
Raven hair shining
Christine Bolton – Poetry for Healing
Ugly memories
Buried so deep in the heart
Live in a coma
Christine Bolton – Poetry for Healing
Sun deep in the sky
Taking today’s remainder
Into tomorrow

The eyes of the soul
Can look deep into a heart
In need of comfort
