Stop – Poem of the Month – September 2021

Stop

Stop talking over my voice
I cannot be heard

Stop ignoring me
When I speak

Stop repeating yourself
Over and over again

Stop complaining
About things long gone

Stop disrespecting
People who have done you no harm

Stop holding grudges
That will never leave your grasp

Stop sabotaging events
Because you see others happy

Stop destroying every relationship
You ever had

Stop expelling
People from your life

Stop feeding on the poison
Hoping the other person will die

Stop being a bastard
You weren’t born that way

Just stop

Enough Already

Enough Already

A year wished
to be forgotten
from the first
January day
Testing strength
and perseverance
Love and hate
An existence put
on hiatus while
hidden horrors
played Russian roulette
with hearts and minds
Slaves to medicines
and opinions
Mixed feelings haunting
and undermining
Toying and tricking
Tripping and taunting
with theoretical tripe
Praying for this
year to end

Flabbergasted

Flabbergasted

Shock and Awe
How can this be?
You have done it again
And made a fool out of me

I never see it coming
Always blind to your charms
I am jelly at the knees
And welcome you to my arms

Why do I not realize
How you can be so devious
I really am pathetic
Is it so obvious

I am an easy prey
For your wickedry
How your mind works
Will always flabbergast me

A poor excuse for a man
You are such a parasite
Feeding off others
As if it’s all right

You take what satisfies you
Shameless and selfish
My anger toward you
Bordering on hellish

Enough is enough
I can take you no more
Stay away from me
And never darken my door
