Impossible – A Quadrille

Impossible

You constantly say I am impossible
Maybe sometimes that might be true
But you’re impossible all the time
and so I say to you
Give me a break please
Psychoanalytic nagging is making me weary
Perhaps it is possibly
just your convoluted theory

Monday Quadrille at D'Verse Poets tonight
and he has prompted us with the word possible.

Mine

Mine

The feeling was involuntary
Impossible to hold back
Encompassing my body
In a gradual attack

Filling my heart with love
To be poured over you
In sensual oils to massage
And the kiss of morning dew

Tied in silk ribbons
Your limbs I will bind
So you will stay forever
Lady Justice is blind

Lies

Lies

One little lie, two little lies
Three lies, four
This is how it begins
Hard to keep track
Impossible to ignore

Choosing to go down
that slippery slope
There’s no turning back
The choice has been made
Say goodbye to all hope

Infatuation is a welcome guest
But he obscures your vision
With a diaphanous veil
Making you the fool
Of bad decisions

Improvisation attempted
But not availed
You’ve shown your true colors
A relationship is now in ruins
His love cruelly assailed
