One Liner Wednesday – Sarcasm. Is It Really The Lowest Form Of Wit?

I am always attracted to humor and I have the belief that you can laugh your way through anything. Sarcasm can be funny, but not always. It can hurt feelings if not used appropriately, however, this is One Liner Wednesday, so let’s not get too deep this early in the morning, OK?

For Linda G. Hill’s One Liner Wednesday

Suspended

Suspended

That space in-between
neither awake nor sleep
Waiting, suspended
in limbo
yearning for the deep

The mind in overdrive
an uneasy qualm
Tossing and turning
with body contorting
what medicine will calm?

Imagination racing
I say numbers backwards
and count some sheep
After trying all of the above
I did drift off to sleep

Merril is hosting D'Verse Poets Pub tonight and has promoted us with a time of Transition.
I have taken a poem that I wrote in 2019 and reworked it a little. It fits the prompt.
