Time to Leave
Inside a secret sorrow Sharp stabbing pains of a bleeding heart Thoughts jumbled unable to form words Feeling drawn to this spot The stillness of the water was meant to soothe The rambling hills Clear air to breathe and sadness to release But this was not the place to heal Raw memories suffocating Longing for the ocean and the salt life left behind To stare again at pewter skies streaked with tangerine Waiting for a setting sun to take away sadness To lay in cool sand As the night comes Sequined stars Dotting the sky Calming the soul It is time to leave Christine Bolton - Poetry for Healing © Sue Vincent’s Weekly Write/Photo Word Prompts: Feeling - Word of the Day Spot -Stream of Conciousness Stars - RDP Ramble - FOWC
