Take A Moment

In flickering candlelight
quiet moments to ponder
can calm quivering nerves
Sometimes words need not be spoken
Silence soothes the soul
harnessing the thoughts running rampant
through a muddled mind
In the stillness clarity comes
and the pieces begin to fit
Together
Making sense
and the picture comes into focus

      1. My poor blog has been so neglected Christine during the past year, but I am well. I have been busy working work time then part time as a journalist this year and with my other community work. Happy New Year to you too and here’s to some more “me time”. Lynn

      2. I hear you Lynn. I had to stop blogging for a while. I felt like a machine. I was working more and committed to the blog and I was tired. What I was producing on the blog was garbage in my opinion. I lost my creativity so I decided to just stop for a while. 11 months later I came back back and now I find that I don’t give into the pressure of having to do something every day. I block when I can, and when I have something decent to share. I went from being totally retired to work in full-time again, crazy isn’t it? I’m not sure. I really have time for login, but I’m going to stick with it.
Happy new year Lynn and lovely to hear from you ☺️🩷

      3. Christine, your world sounds familiar to mine! I used to aim for one post per month, but I got so busy with work, home life challenges and community stuff that it wasn’t happening. The months fly past. Like you I need to take the pressure off myself or I become manic. I think as one gets older the realisation of only having limited time plays on your mind. Here’s to whatever 2025 throws at us or thinks we deserve! Take care, Lynn
