Zinger – A Quadrille

Strikingly elegant
Her command of language
separated her from others
Mesmerized by her confidence
pursuers stopped in their tracks
Did they even stand a chance

Her secret weapon was humor
Hidden
But when she shared
it was always
in the form of
a zinger

De from Whimsygizmo is hosting Monday Quadrille at D’Verse Poets and she has prompted us with a quadrille with a Zing! A quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words excluding the title and must use ‘zing’ somewhere.

    1. Sorry to hijack your comment, Dwight – it’s the only way I can comment on Christine’s blog today. 😉

Christine, I love this. I love a good zinger, though mine usually come hours later, when I’m alone. 😉 “Dang, wish I’d said that!” Ha.
