I Don’t Give a Hoot – A Quadrille

You hum and haw
Fuss and fluster
causing a commotion
You’re annoying
as anyone could be
But you’re a hoot

How about this?
Or maybe that?
Oh spare me
Am I aggravating? You ask
Is the Pope Catholic? I respond
You daft old coot

  1. Awww. Sometimes those daft old coots are the ones who need our ear (and love) the most. 😉 There’s love in your words, so I suspect you already know that. Love the “hoot”/”coot” rhyme.

  2. Christine, I love the playful banter in this one! The back-and-forth is hilarious, and the way you bring in the “daft old coot” is just perfect. Definitely a hoot! 😄

    Much love,
