His eyes dark
Probing
His attention welcome
Like the warmth of sun
on a cold, windy day
He listened intently
Hanging on
to my every word
as I struggled to find
the right language
To be understood
Taking my hand
His response was
“Enchanté”

De from Whimsy Gizmo is hosting Monday Quadrille at D’Verse and the prompt word is Enchanted. A quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words, excluding the title.
These sounds like enchanting language lessons. 😉
Love it, Christine.
