I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

Feelings of serenity, they can be transient, can’t they. I love listening to birds.
Me too Melissa. I love everything about birds. How they look, how they sound, how they act, etc. etc. They are fascinating little creatures with such great strength. 💗
I can take jabber in small doses but more than that it intrudes into my peace. You articulated that well, Christine. Knowing where you live, I think tourists.
Give me birdsong every day, Christine, and I can do without the noisy passers-by. Thankfully, our village will be back to normal at the end of August, when the holiday makers have gone home. Silence welcomed indeed.

One advantage of living in a country whose language I don’t fully understand is that it is easy to tune out the jabber.

Even that sounds peaceful in a way. Things happening as they should.

That’s a lovely way to put it Rosemary. Nothing is perfect. We need it all, don’t we? ☺️💗

Yes, Kim. We have the same problem! 🫤 thank goodness, we can lose ourselves in nature.

I adore the word “birdsong,” and the sound it brings. And I, too, hate it when it’s broken by all that jibber-jabber (sometimes inside my own head).

This summer we walked to places were we didn’t meet anyone …. to the point we welcomed some jabbering

Well, you can only take so much serenity. If it’s broken by birds, you are lucky!
