Fearless

A fearless warrior
Alone in her plight
Fighting for their existence
No one to help her and the child
Determined to go the distance

She walked through fire
but was not burnt by it
She circled her wagons
With her never ending fury
She slayed the dragons

She would fight tigers
For she was a mother
Crossing her you cannot afford
For the life of her daughter
She would fall on her sword

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. Welcome to the Challenge, Christine! It is true that motherhood or an emergency bring latent powers to the fore. Who would have imagined that the Thai boys would be brought out of that cave?

    1. I used to tell my son when he was little that I would fight tigers for him 😊. Motherhood is primal
