I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine View more posts

I understand… for some people, pets are “just” pets, but mine have been much more to me… A good furry friend never gets forgotten! xx

She looks a lovely dog. I’d love a dog one day. Unfortunately the price you pay for having a pet is the grief you feel when they’re gone. I always think it’s such a shame that dogs have quite a short life, especially big dogs. 🙂

Thanks Kristian. That’s true but you both get so much from the relationship. She was a big girl but she lived 12 years and survived cancer on the way. ❤️

Aww, she was beautiful, Christine. We have an 18 year old cat, and she’s still going strong but we dread the day we lose her.

Thank you. 12 years was a good age for an enormous dog 😊. She was so sweet. How wonderful you have had your cat for 18 years. That is so special. Enjoy every minute of her. ❤️
